What is the difference between blocking a user and marking a ticket as spam?
These are two separate actions with different effects:
Mark as Spam (per ticket):
- Moves that specific ticket to the Spam folder.
- Sender can still submit future tickets.
- Other tickets from the same sender are unaffected.
- Reversible: Admin can restore from Spam folder.
Block/Disable User (per user):
- Completely blocks the user from submitting any new tickets.
- Blocks login access to the portal.
- All future emails from this user are rejected.
- Existing tickets remain in the system.
- Reversible: Admin can re-enable the user
.
Use "Mark as Spam" for individual unwanted tickets.
Use "Disable User" when you want to permanently block all communication from a sender.
