What does Raiseaticket Asset Management do?

Raiseaticket Asset Management helps organisations record and manage IT assets such as laptops, desktops, servers, network devices, software and other equipment - and, more usefully, connects them to the support work that involves them.

What kinds of asset can you record?

Hardware such as laptops, desktops, servers and network devices, software, and other equipment your team is responsible for. The point is a single record of what you own rather than a spreadsheet that is accurate on the day it is written.

What can an asset be linked to?

  • Users - who has it.
  • Departments - which part of the organisation it belongs to.
  • Locations - where it is.
  • Support tickets - the requests and incidents that involved it.

How does it help when resolving a ticket?

An agent working an incident can see the relevant asset information without going to ask: what the device is, who owns it, its status, and its support history. That last one matters most - a machine that has generated three tickets in two months is a different problem from one that has generated its first, and you can only see that if the history is attached to the asset rather than scattered across tickets.

Is it part of the free plan?

No. Asset management is a premium add-on, separate from the free helpdesk. It is aimed at internal IT teams supporting a known estate of equipment rather than at customer-facing support.
